It could have been a wonderful life...

is the name of an amazing one-man show, written by and starring my good friend Fred Raker, playing at the Phoenix Theatre, 414 Mason Street (yes, same building as San Francisco Comedy College), December 8 - 24. For info, click the link to the right, "Fred Raker's Wonderful Life."

The Bay Guardian had this to say about "Wonderful Life" - Fred Raker's 25-in-one-man show charts the despair of aspiring Jewish comedian Phil Resnick, who winds up pigeonholed on public television while the life he could have had goes to an Anglo American-ized colleague...(This) very funny solo performance cleverly weaves Jewish identity and self-doubt into...a wonderful 75 minutes."

And the SF Examiner had this to say - “Raker is a gifted mimic and performer.”

Shows are at 8 pm so, get this - you can see me at 6 pm at SF Comedy College and then go and see "Wonderful Life" in the same building at 8 pm.

Imagine - two guys from Fair Lawn (New Jersey) High School's graduating class of 1972, both performing Jewishly-themed comedy in San Francisco's Tenderloin in 2006 - whoda thunkit?

Thanks for listening, have a great day, keep looking for the laughs - they're out there.

Kenny A.
