After almost 40 years on the air, All My Children continues to be the best daytime soap opera of all time, the only one that I have ever deemed worth a second watch, and I have been watching it with regularity - at least once a month - since around 1978. Famous for breaking new ground with openly LGB characters, they are about to begin developing a story line about a T - a transgender, male to female, and will trace her journey through the surgery and beyond. In the past, other soaps have featured transgender characters, but this is the first time a soap will chronicle the process. You go, AMC!

Story is set to start this Thursday, November 30 - I might finally have to break down and get myself Tivo!
